Ramin 10/17/2026Very impressed with the service. The agent even came to drop off the car at our cruise terminal and when we dropped off the car in the evening, he gave us a ride back at the terminal. The car was exactly what we were promised. Very professional and top notch company.leer másleer menos
Samuel Keena 10/14/2026Dixon greeted us at the airport with the shuttle and he was such a great energy to welcome us as first timers in Costa Rica.
The rental car process was fast and simple and every detail thoroughly explained (in English because my Spanish is “Muy mal”(very bad)) they even gave us their personal phone charging chord because we had the wrong one.
It was purely a joyful experience from everyone at Adobe and will absolutely use them again for our next trip. Thank you all!leer másleer menos
Ben Casey 10/04/2026Very easy car rental company to work with, they gave all of the costs up front as well as the policies. I really appreciated how clear they were and how I didn't have to worry about strange hidden prices. The shuttle even dropped us off at our hotel by the airport which was really convenient for us! Would definitely recommend.leer másleer menos

Bavi Kumar 9/18/2026I’ve used Adobe twice now and have nothing but great things to say about the service I’ve received. Everything from the airport shuttle to check out was done seamlessly and with care. All charges are listed upfront on the booking summary and the mandatory and optional insurances were explained to me in detail when I picked up the vehicle. I highly recommend booking with them; I certainly will be using them again when I return to Costa Rica!leer másleer menos
Tyler Friedrich 9/10/2026Great experience! Allen was extremely helpful, thorough, and personable. Would recommend 100%!leer másleer menos
Erik The Adventure Nerd 9/07/2026Great rental car experience. The car rental itself was inexpensive, it's all the insurances that will more than double the cost. But that's Costa Rica for you. This company shows all your fees upfront, unlike the more global companies. I took all the available insurances for all contingencies. Gravel roads with lots of potholes, many pedestrians and bikes on the road, potential for vandalism or theft in sketchy areas, and crazy drivers on narrow one lane roads. Driving here is not for the faint of heart. Our car was a small 4-wheel drive SUV, perfect for the muddy, steep gravel roads. It looked almost brand new. Staff were friendly and professional. No issues with pick up or drop off.leer másleer menos
Jennifer Ohanyan 9/06/2026Fantastic service! The service was smooth and clear and the shuttle was excellent. They helped with luggage and the process was great, the car was really nice too. The really went above and beyond! My mom forgot her phone in the car after returning and we had already arrived at the airport. They quickly responded and searched for the phone in the car and brought it to the airport for us! They sure saved us! Thank you so much 10/10!leer másleer menos

A 8/26/2026Be sure to inspect your tires closely. We hit a pothole almost as soon as we left the rental store and popped the tire. We had to get an entirely new car. Then maybe three days later, another tire went completely flat. We had to have it patched as we were more than a day away from the closest Adobe rental store.
We also experienced battery problems. The night we got the car we parked at the hotel. When we woke up to leave the car wouldn’t start. No lights or anything were left on. A common issues for cars when left sitting but I expect Adobe to be on top of such things.
Lastly a Hyundai Kona is not an SUV. It’s at best a subcompact SUB. For three people plus luggage, and the fact my mother and I are both 5’10; it was not a comfortable ride for the nine days we stayed in Costa Rica.leer másleer menos
Randall Hicks 8/16/2026Amazing service! I booked a car online for our vacation in Costa Rica. Given that the company is in a different country and that there could be a small language barrier, I was a little concerned. Those concerns were not necessary. Everything about the car was as advertised, the agent at the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful, and it was easy to complete the reservation. Insurance options can be confusing, but the agent was able to guide us through that process. Our flight was delayed by a couple of hours, but Adobe was flexible and had plenty of staff on hand when we arrived. They even offer a cooler to use during the rental period (if requested). Overall, they offer a great service at reasonable rates. I would definitely use this company again.leer másleer menos
Michael Rehbaum 8/10/2026We had a wonderful experience with Adobe. They were very accommodating with using excellent English with us. I felt a tiny bit of pressure to buy the extra insurance, but we did end up doing it because crashes in Costa Rica are handled very differently from in the US and we ended up wanting the peace of mind.
They have friendly, knowledgeable and considerate staff with reliable cars that handle the driving environment in Costa Rica very well. We'll rent from them again the next time we visit.leer másleer menos

Decks By The Beach 20/07/26Excellent Service and a Perfect Rental Experience!
Adobe provided 5-star service from the moment we arrived at Quepos Airport. Our vehicle was waiting for us—brand new, spotless, fully fueled, and ready to go. The paperwork was quick and easy, the credit card process was seamless, and we were on our way in no time.
The vehicle itself was excellent—comfortable, reliable, great on gas mileage, and had plenty of space for our luggage. It never gave us a single issue during our trip and was perfect for exploring the coast.
One of the best decisions we made was picking up the car in Quepos and dropping it off in San José. For a very reasonable one-way fee, we were able to enjoy the freedom of driving the scenic coastal route back to the city. It turned the return trip into another adventure—stopping at beautiful beaches, exploring new areas, and enjoying the flexibility to travel at our own pace instead of rushing to catch a transfer.
A huge thank you to Warren and Jorge for making the entire rental process simple, stress-free, and enjoyable. They shared excellent recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and must-see stops along our route to Uvita and beyond.
Great service, great people, and a rental experience we would happily recommend to anyone visiting Costa Rica. Adobe helped make our trip even more memorable!read moreread less
Woppini 19/07/26Good experience overall. We had a few issues with our car, and they were quite helpful with communication through WhatsApp. They were willing to swap out the car for another, but we decided not to. As a gesture, they waived any charges returning the car without a full tank. When you get the car, it has to be returned full.

Sanja Bojanic 13/06/26This branch has great people, and Adobe is so far most trustworthy and transparent rental company we used. Everyone we interacted with were so eager to help. We had few issues with a car and came for help, and so quickly we were in and out. It's great to know that we could rely and rental company and also not be afraid of any hidden fees as their fees are transparent and everything is communicated in an open manner. I would say look no further and use Adobe, and if you are in this area then use this branch, the people are great. Also, by Liberia airport branch was very helpful as well. Brett 10/05/26Very professional and attentive. The only issue was I paid for a vehicle with full insurance. After I paid in full, they asked for a $1,000.00 deposit. Obviously, this makes no sense because I paid for complete insurance: theft, liability, etc. Why put a $1,000.00 hold on my credit card when I just purchased a rental car that is fully insured? Under no circumstances would they ever use that money. Regardless, I asked if I could split the $1,000.00 between two credit cards. They said no. Then I asked if I could put the $1,000.00 hold on my debit card. They said no. With no other possible way to give them a deposit of $1,000.00 (that they will never possibly need), I simply asked for a refund for the $500.00 I already paid for the car and insurance. This is a classic example in Costa Rica of a company not thinking through their policies. They lost a $500.00 sale for the car, and a customer for life.read moreread less
A 07/05/26my friend and I rented for the first time in Costa Rica and were so glad we went with Adobe! the experience was great. the shuttle was outside of the airport waiting for us when we landed and it was about 10 minutes to the rental store from the airport. we booked with Bryan Montoya and he was amazing! he explained everything to us and gave us great suggestions both about the car and about Costa Rica in general. we were able to quickly get our car and the car was in perfect condition. we rented a 4 wheel drive and it was so easy and reliable. highly recommend Adobe and working with Bryan!read moreread less

We found the entire population of Costa Ricans we encountered to be most friendly, even when they had nothing to gain by interacting with us, so maybe all of the other car rental places are as good.
However, I have rented enough cars in the US and it typically "feels" like buying a used car with a trade in..., not the best experience.

- Michelle Mclaughlin 8/10/2024My recent car rental experience with Adobe Rent a Car in Liberia, Costa Rica was fantastic! I carefully read the fine print and confirmed my coverage with Mastercard and my personal car insurance company before booking. The third-party liability coverage was mandatory, but I was happy to discover that my other coverage was secured through Mastercard as long as the booking and payment were made with the same card. To confirm my coverage, I presented a letter from Capital One to the rental car company.
Arriving at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica, we were met by an Adobe driver with a sign who drove us to the rental car office for car pickup, all part of the free service included in our booking.
The rental car office was only a 5-10 minute drive from the airport. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jorge ( Horr-hay) aka “George” for non-Spanish speakers and his friendly staff. The office was spotless, with a water refill station and vending machine for our convenience. Jorge provided clear instructions and ensured a smooth rental experience. We were offered a free local SIM card and cooler for our car, and we opted for additional in-car WiFi. Our Toyota Venue was in perfect condition and a joy to drive for our 8-day Costa Rican adventure. When it was time to leave, we returned the car to the rental office and were on our way with the driver back to the airport within 15 minutes, thanks to quick paperwork and bag loading.
Adobe Rent a Car provided excellent service, and I felt well taken care of throughout the entire process. This is one of the better rental car experiences I've had. The cost for the rental was reasonable compared to other local rental car places. Highly recommend this car rental company and their local office in Liberia, Costa Rica for anyone visiting and looking for a rental car.read moreread less
