Quepost rent a car tips 

Renting a car in Costa Rica isn’t that much different from other countries. 

Follow these tips for renting a car in Costa Rica and the rental process should be a breeze.

1. The minimum age requirement to rent a car with Adobe is 23 years old.
2. In order to rent and/or drive the car you must present a driver’s license from your home country. The license must be valid for at least two years from the first issue date.
   1. If your license is written in an alphabet such as Hebrew, Mandarin, or Arabic you will also need to present an international driver’s permit.
3. You must also present your passport and a valid Costa Rican entry and exit permit visa. This is the stamp you received in your passport when you arrived. 
   1. As a rule of thumb, visitors can only drive in Costa Rica when their visa is valid (three months). 
4. Make sure to register all additional drivers. All drivers must also comply with steps one through three above. Adobe insurance coverage is not valid If an accident occurs with an unregistered driver.
5. A damage deposit is required to rent a car with Adobe. It can only be made using valid internationally recognized credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. 
   1. If no damages or fees are incurred during the rental period, the damage deposit will be returned in full within five business days following the rental. Any accrued costs will otherwise be deducted from the total amount accordingly.
