The people that work at Adobe Rent a Car are much more than just collaborators; at Adobe Rent a Car we are a family and as such, every member is proud of their role and does every little thing with patience, love and making sure every client feels valued.
Today we want you to meet Isabel Rivera, she’s the Reservations Chief at Adobe Rent a Car. Isabel is 47 years old and, for the last 16 years she has been a key member at Adobe.
We had a chance to sit and chat with her for a moment and here’s what she shared with us:
What does Isabel enjoy?
“I like going to the movies, travel to the beach and the mountains, especially La Fortuna” (a place she strongly recommends everyone to visit at least once). She’s the mother of a 15 year old kid, lives in Cartago and has a big loving family which she also makes sure to spend quality time with as much as possible.
Tell us about your life at Adobe…
“I knew the former sales manager, Victor, who passed away about 10 years ago. He knew me from a travel agency I used to work at; after I quit that job, Victor contacted me and offered me a position at Adobe.”
She accepted the job and began working as a reservations executive, where she was promoted a few years after. For the past 13 years she has been our Chief of Reservations.
Isabel Rivera truly shows how much she loves her job, and also how much she enjoys keeping herself busy with the many responsibilities that come with this position.
“I supervise the job of the other executives, we currently have 4 executives. I also take care of reservations, attend the phone, the chat and email.”
Along with these, there are many tasks that are also related to accounting, such as prepayments, entering payment information into the system, and such. Everyone at the operations department who has questions about reservations always goes directly to Isabel.
Can you tell us more about your team?
“We have Ruth, Karen, Marco and Luis, who are the reservations representatives. All of us have to handle phone calls, answer emails and chats”
However the responsibilities do not end there, for instance, Ruth is more involved with corporate issues, Karen is in charge of some travel agencies, Luis is oversees non-traditional markets and Marco basically supports everyone.
What’s your biggest challenge as Reservations Chief?
“Every day we have to leave everything ready. Every email needs to be answered that same day, which is very difficult to do as we also work as a call center.”
Isabel mentions that their first priority is attending the calls, then continue with emails and chats. There are so many things to do it may feel a bit hectic sometimes, yet everyone is always happy and thriving to make things work the best way possible.
What do you like most about your job?
“I really enjoy chatting with the customers, I like it very much. Everybody is different, sometimes we get very serious people over the phone, but some other times they are very chatty and easy going, they even make us smile and remind us how important our job is.”
Isabel says it’s always pleasant to talk to clients, though sometimes it would be even nicer to get to know them. She would love to get to talk to them face to face.
