Reservations

To guarantee a reservation we require your credit card number. If you reside in the US or Canada you may contact us at the following toll free number: 1-800-769-8422. If not, you may send us your credit card information via e-mail to info@adobecar.com . If we do not receive this information within 24 hours after the reservation, we will proceed to cancel it.

To avoid a one-day penalty charge, our Cancellation Policy requires that cancellations be done at least 3 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Any adjustments or modifications to the reservation may change the rate.

Car rentals

Requierements

Driver's minimum age is 23 years old.
A valid Driver License.
A credit card under the name of the renter, issued by a major credit card company, with USD 750.00 credit available

Others

Adobe Rent a Car does not accept debit cards.
Vehicles are not allowed to be driven outside of Costa Rica.
Adobe Rent a Car has a 24 hour rental period. Full daily rate will be charged after 4 hours.
Additional drivers have a daily cost of US$ 2.00.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Adobe Rent a Car offers a 'meet and greet service' at both airport locations when the exact arrival information is provided. Renter will be met at the arrival gate by an Adobe Rent a Car representative holding a sign with the renter's name and will be taken, by shuttle, to our office.

When flight details are not provided, upon your arrival please request the shuttle service by calling our office. The phone number in the San Jose International Airport is 442-2422 or and in the Liberia Airport is 667-0608.

The mandatory insurance covers (CDW) collision damage waiver. There is a deductible of US$ 750.00 and the insurance has a maximum coverage of 80% of damages to Third-Party property. We offer an optional deductible insurance for an extra daily cost of US$ 9.00, which also covers theft of accessory parts of the vehicle, such as spare tire and windshield. There is no coverage for theft of personals belongings.

We do not accept credit card insurance, because of the number of restrictions applicable to the coverage. In particular, it does not offer liability coverage, which is mandatory in our country. Generally it will not cover SUVs nor accidents which occur in gravel roads.
